Do you know who the great instructor is?

Good morning all-

I'm going to have to make this quick.  The snow is falling and I will have to leave for work soon.  People don't know how to act in the snow around here.  They tend to drive way too fast.  Anyway, I wanted to leave you with my memory verse for the next couple of weeks.  It really hit me strong yesterday as I was looking for a Scripture to meditate on.  I love to learn and love to share what I learn, especially when it comes to the Bible.  I can't say that I have ever really noticed this Scripture even though I have been in Matthew many times in my Christian walk.  I heard God in a way I haven't for a long time.  He is to be my instructor, no one but Him.  What does that mean?  I'm not quite sure.  I could guess that it's through Him, that I will learn all I need to.  I could also speculate that's why He instructed all of us to pray daily, when there wasn't a Bible to go to.  We are His chosen people and every time we step back to when He lived; we hear Him.

So today I'm going to leave you with my memory verse.  It's been an unexpected pleasure to get these down and I'm praying that the Lord continues to increase my memory through His word.  May the power of Jesus Christ and the Word enable all of you to find strength, courage and obedience through rough and stormy weather.  Just like this snow storm today, there's not much out there but I'm sure it will cause chaos if people don't remember what they knew in drivers school, practice patience and take it slow. That's what God is calling us to do today.  Remember His word, practice it with patience and go slow with joy in our hearts.  May the Lord of our lives shine on you as you look for Him!

Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. (‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭10‬ NIV)

My prayer today:
O, Lord comfort us through the word.  As we sit and meditate on Your words reveal to us the power behind them.  We desire a relationship and we hang on every word.  We are a broken people, full of sin.  Heal us from the inside out as we find You.  Thank You for helping me memorize Your word.  I ask that You would send a message into the hearts of women all over the world.  We must be praying for our men, our children and their children.  We must believe that You are the only instructor and at the end of the day, the Bible is real and true.  Teaching it may not be enough in this hardened world so we ask You to open the hearts of our daughters and their daughters.  And more importantly, we ask that You open the hearts of our dads, husbands, brothers, sons, and grandsons.  They are the future leaders.  They are the ones that need to go to their Savior.  Wrap our sinful souls with the power of grace and mercy.  Give us knowledge and wisdom where we lack and make us strong in YOU!  In Jesus Name, AMEN
