September 8, 2012

The day has dawned and it's time we begin our battle.  I am fighting many emotions right now.  The strongest of them is anger towards our enemy.  I am tired of watching good women, God's women, being destroyed in the battle.  I am fighting in prayer for the weary soldier who has lost her joy, her compassion, her sense of her power through Jesus Christ.  I am fighting and praying for the woman who is sitting home devastated that her husband has left, or that her baby is ill.  I am fighting for the single woman who is crying herself to sleep because she desires a partner.  I am fighting for you in whatever circumstance you find yourself in and there are so many that I probably can't even count them, but I'm fighting my sisters!

The day has not yet dawned here in Kansas and I woke up for battle, just as Joshua did so many years ago.  If I let myself, I would be full of fear but in its place I have courage.  Why?  Because not enough people are fighting and good women are losing the battle spiritually and through their minds.  Obsessive Compulsive Disorder begins as a little condition and it grows to a bigger, harsher existence.  We obsess and eventually we will grow very weary.   We might do this by washing our hands a million times, starving ourselves, over-exercising or often, we let our minds fill full of fear and worry, which often leads to anxiety and depression.  Our minds get full of all of our imperfections, our sins and just wrong thoughts.  It's time to stop!  It's time to take back our minds and let God reign in that area.  I continue to fight my mind but I will not stand and watch another woman be destroyed by her mind.  I can't change it but I can get on my knees and pray for every one of you!  Today, that's what I'm doing.  I can't sit back and let Satan destroy the weak.  I must align my will with Christ's.  I must ask Him to forgive my sins so that I can pray for you and believe me I'm praying!

We have a reason to fight.  There are women all over the world that need us on our knees.  And if you're like me, you know someone right now that needs you to be praying.  If you've ever received good news and didn't glorify God, you know what I mean.  What keeps us from accepting good news? I can tell you right now, it's not God, it's us.  We have let Satan creep into our minds.  We have let him deceive us and we have believed him.  We have to stop.  We have to pray for courage and for protection.  We must get on our knees and pray scripture.   We must fight this battle because if we don't, no one will.  We are being called to unite.  If you read this blog, you are one of God's mighty warriors.  You may be in training but He's calling you.  He doesn't need us but He desires us to be with Him.  We carry His soldiers, we treat and lift up His men, we are important, don't ever forget that.

His mother stood beside Him, when all His disciples fled.  She went to the tomb to prepare His body and He sent angels to declare He had risen!  Women were there on the forefront of the most important event in History and they have been there ever since.  We need to fight ladies and I don't mean with our mouths, we are definitely good at that. I mean we need to be on our knees praying for protection of God's people and especially with those He wishes to use in ministry.  We need to ask God to make us like a lion and humble us like a lamb.  We need to have courage by day, and a shield by night.  We must not forget that our Lord and Savior died for us and that His father sacrificed Him so that they might be one for us.

You may be thinking as you read this that you're not in a battle.  Then obviously, you are not connecting yourself to your Bible or your surroundings.  You are in battle, we are in the end times and someday we will be part of Christ's bride.  I don't know when that day will dawn but it will and we must be ready.  How are we going to get ready?  By not accepting the woes of this world and taking a stand for what is right, what is just and what is merciful.  The answer, as you know, is Jesus!

So, as I stand before you today, I'm taking a stand.  I'm coming to Jesus and asking for Him to make me a mighty warrior for His kingdom.  I'm asking for His blood on my house and I am asking that His crown of thorns would be on me.  I want to be a prayer warrior for you!  I want us to win the battlefield of our minds and move toward Him.  I know that the battle can make us weary but I don't want to stop fighting, do you?  We have generations of girls to raise.  We are mothers of boys that will turn into men.  If you're single, you have nieces and nephews or possibly someone you sponsor but nonetheless, you have a responsibility to a generation, to at least pray for them and to ask Christ to heal the nations, bring peace on earth and to save people.  The workers are few but the harvest is plenty.  It's time to till the land, will you stand with me and ask God to make you His prayer warrior today?  Fight the good fight my sisters!  He is near!

The battle of Jericho was won and the walls had fallen.  Joshua was victorious but soon after, he was on his knees asking, why?  God had just taken him through a great battle to victory but another was on its way and instead of standing still, having courage, and knowing that God would deliver him, he doubted.  We do that too.  We fight the battle and then all of the sudden, we regress.  We doubt that God is all knowing, all powerful and faithful.  We look upon God as we do humans.  And as we all know, humans let us down.  But God is not man.  He is God.  So, as you go about your day today think about these Scriptures, repent and pray.  The Lord is near, don't lose hope just because the victory doesn't look like you pictured it!

Joshua 7:5-10 NKJV:

And the men of Ali struck down about thirty-six men, for they chased them from before the gate as far as Shebarim, and struck them down on the descent; therefore the hearts of the people melted and became like water.  Then Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of the Lord until evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads.  And Joshua said, "Alas, Lord God, why have You brought this people over the Jordan at all-to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us?  Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan! O Lord, what shall I say when Israel turns its back before its enemies?  For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear it, and surround us, and cut off our name from the earth.  Then what will You do for Your great name?"

So the Lord said to Joshua: "Get up!  Why do you lie thus on your face?

Psalm 71:8 NKJV:

Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day.

We haven't won the battle yet ladies but we must "GET UP!"  There is victory all around us.  The resurrection of Jesus is victory.  We may be lost but He will find us.  So, please stand with me every nation around the world and pray that Jesus wins the battle of our minds, our souls and our hearts for Him!

My prayer today:

O, Lord, I come before You, Your humble servant.  I woke up today with battle on my mind.  Not just any battle but a battle against my enemy.  I'm mad Lord that Satan is destroying women, in particular those that are mighty in You.  I'm frustrated that our minds are winning the battle and that faithful women are being pulled into not believing Your power.  I know that sin has reigned and I know that the deceiver, deceives.  At the same time, I know that You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  I know that You are mightier than the deceiver.  I know that Your cross gave us power and I know that Your resurrection continues to heal Your people.  I believe that You parted the Red Sea, tore down the walls of Jericho and brought Your people into the promise land.  I also know that sin makes You angry but You are a merciful God.  So today, I ask You to pour Your mercy onto Your children, in every nation, bring forth a revival.   Take the hand of those that don't believe and open their eyes to You.  Raise up women and men of integrity that are willing to fight the good fight with You.  Help us to band together in a circle around the globe.  Help us lift our eyes and our voices to You, singing, Holy, Holy is the lamb.  Bring forth strong minds, minds that align with You that can not waver in the battle and give us courage to roam this earth, believing that someday You will come and that we stayed true until the end.  Keep us from being weary, provide us with strength and guide our feet, so that no matter how long the battle is we will persevere.  We are sinful people, full of our flesh and our thoughts.  Please take our sins Lord, we beg of You and fill our minds of Your power, Your glory and Your majesty.  Today is Your day!  It dawns for You!  Let us see Your victory!  Help the doubters be full of faith and give us all a dose of You today.  We need You, O, Lord, more than anyone knows it.  Keep the arrows from us today and cover our houses as we fight for You.  I pray that You will be with me and all women worthy of battle.  In Jesus name, AMEN

Until tomorrow...
