Having faith that moves a mountain....

Good morning my sisters-

Now everyone knows you can't move a mountain, right?  Well of course we know that but do you know throughout History mountains have been moved, the earth has shifted and the seas have changed.  Once there was ice that downed a whole population of animals and today, we have experienced horrible natural disasters that have killed thousands, moved entire people groups to higher land and have wiped out thousands.  The tsunami's have shown us the power of water over structure.  If I hadn't seen it on television I wouldn't have believed the mass destruction water can cause.  Mountains have been formed through many of these natural disasters and the Grand Canyon stands as a monument to change on this earth.

We can't move the mountain or calm a sea but Christ can with the power and authority He came upon the day He left this life for ours.  He is God, one in three. That can be confusing because humans believe in a trinity as being three. The Bible is clear.  The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One and they stand before every living thing.

I struggle with moving mountains.  I look up and sometimes think the climb is just too much.  And then I delve into the Word and one passage will give me the strength to  move one more step.  Our journey isn't about scaling the mountain or even moving it; its about taking one step at a time with a God that knows and loves us.  When we try to scale it, we normally use our own strength.  It's what humans want to do but we must remember that nothing is possible with man but with God everything is possible.

If you have been watching the news and hearing the calls to prayer all over the world then you know, wars have come, plagues have been unleashed and times of mass destruction are happening.  God's people are fighting against terrorists and innocent people are dying.  Their mountains are large, Amen!  So what should we do?  We have two ways to go.  We can lay down, put our heads in the sand and say, "That's not my problem."  Or better yet, we can get down on our knees and believe in the King of our lives.  We can come before Him and pray.  As I was thinking about the men, women and children on the mountain that fled for their lives, I read an article where two people groups got together and made one passage for them to come down.  They were protected but there was only one way off that mountain. I'm sure no one needed a multitude of options; they just took the one.  That's how our Lord and Saviour works.  He gives us an option to move that mountain, calm that storm, pass that challenge and ride to safety.  We have Him and only Him.  The world is not going to stop this chaos and millions will be part of it.  War has never left this earth and it won't.

I have a choice, to decide to come off that mountain because He's cleared a path or stay and feel helpless.  Today I choose to come off that mountain and love Him and only Him.  Christians will be persecuted, they are right now.  If you don't believe it, read the paper or get on the Internet but we love a God that is true.  Our lives are not our own, they are His.  But if you are feeling helpless, don't!  You have power through Him, power to pray and power to believe.  Take up the shield of righteousness and be like David, believe.

So for this morning, I will choose to believe that He will deliver Israel from this evil.  I will believe that He will deliver men, women and children from this chaos and I will believe that only One God can help us in our hour of need.  I don't know when Jesus is coming but He will and in the meantime; I will pray for Him to reveal Himself to me.

As always, I am praying for you my dear sisters and thanking God for You.  May God come into Your homes and bless You with His love.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. (‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ NIV)

“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬ NIV)

My Prayer today:

Every word is true.  The Word of the Lord lives and breathes and it's on our own we must seek Him. Today I call upon my sisters to be shielded by a God that is love and that gives love freely.  I don't know the hour of Your coming Lord but I do know that You love us.  I take this moment in time to proclaim You and to ask that for every heart that is full of evil and destruction, You will turn one toward You.  You are the God of love and we ask You to pour Your love out throughout the world.  We thank You so much for Your power and Your majesty.  Please give us one direction, one voice and one power, through You and only You.  Protect Your soldiers and help them to become strong in You.  WE pray for a faith that can move mountains and a spirit that takes refuge in You.  I am a lonely soldier desperately seeking my saviour.  Send Your angels to this earth and let the spirit of the  Lord arise all over the earth. I pray this in Jesus Name, AMEN

Until tomorrow...
