August 28,2012

Yesterday, I talked about heaven and why its so important to understanding our purpose here on earth.  The goal of this life is to reside on the streets of gold worshipping our God.  He is one, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  There are millions of people that need to hear the message and be brought to Christ but there are few to fulfill the commission.

So, today, I wanted to find the Scripture that describes heaven, at least the streets of gold.  Many are scared of revelation because it talks of disaster, famine, and death.  We are in the end times now.  Plagues have come and gone, war is around us and always threatening our inhabitants, and this world has become more evil.  The Internet allows more and more people to be reached and missionaries are going all over the world.  The Bible is being preached and people are simply walking away but there is hope.  Our Lord has not left this sinful world.  He has not turned His back on people.  He is watching and reminding all of us that there is hope in His word, Hope in Him and Hope in heaven.  There is a heaven and we need to be shouting it to the rooftops.

Those that don't know Christ think this is all they have.  What a shame?  I hope that God brings me many people so that I can share my vision of heaven.  I haven't been there but I've pictured it a thousand times, with tables everywhere, children running, people signing and streets of gold.  I want to dance on them one day and I'm sure you do too.  We don't have to be scared in this life because we know where we're going.  Just in case you don't, I wanted to put down a small picture of what heaven will look like and why we need to be telling people there's a place beyond this earth!

I hope you're having a splendid morning.  I get to go wake up my teenager so we'll see.  But until tomorrow I wish you a very blessed day.

Revelation 21:21 NKJV:

The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl.  And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

I tried to explain this once to my dad.  He always turned away when I talked about the beauty of heaven.  Please take time this week to read this chapter and contemplate how to share the grace of Jesus Christ.  Heaven is our reward.  We are sinners.  But once upon a time a boy was born to save the world, His name is Jesus.  Spread the word today and remember someday we will meet on the streets of gold.

My prayer today:

O, Lord, my prayer today is that every woman reading this blog will look upon this Scripture and think about heaven.  That we will seek You, not just this morning, but every morning.  That we will begin to be bold in the word and fight for righteousness.  We are on our knees worshipping and loving You.  Continue to grow us in your word so when the time comes we can go to Scripture and paint the picture of a Savior.  You have not left us here to defend for ourselves; You are in the word and in the Spirit and we are blessed.  Help women everywhere know You more and give us a dose of You.  The thought of heaven is beautiful to me and I don't want anyone dying without the hope of it.  Help us lift our sisters in prayer and to fulfill Your purpose in our lives.  Light our paths and help us love the unloveable and please Lord fill us with Your grace so that we might send that grace others way.  We are in need of You daily and we thank You for being our Father.  And someday, I hope to be rejoicing on the streets of gold and worshipping my Father.  In Jesus name, AMEN

Until tomorrow...
