Where are you with our Lord today?  Do you look upon Him as a necessity or do you take Him out of the box as needed?  If you're not utilizing Him as an essential part of your day, it's time to change that and realize that He's not a play toy.  He's not a self-help guru or an evangelist.  He's your Father and He desires a relationship with you.  Faith grows when we recognize that we need Him more than we need air.  Now the world would tell you, that's the wrong way to think.  You should be sufficient in your own ways.  It says that you have control over every situation and if you think positively everything will come out in your favor.  Wrong!  Faith comes from dependence and surrender.  The two work hand in hand and never should we believe we are in control of anything.

We have been brainwashed, especially in the US.  We were told that if we went to college we would make great money.  We were told that if we wanted something, it was there for the taking.  We are the land of opportunity.  Really?   Funny, because somewhere around 2007-2008, the sky fell, the stock market crashed and millions were without jobs.  We over spent, feeling we were entitled to everything and by the way, Americans got lazy.  So, there are still thousands without jobs, our economy is still suffering and there are less and less jobs.  Why?  Because a nation that turns its back on God, will have a God that turns its back on them.  We have sacrificed everything we hold dear.  We don't treasure life, our elderly, or our God.  We spend an unbelievable amount of money on the things we treasure and we don't take care of the lost and lonely.  We have let lawyers dictate what is right and wrong and if you look closely our judges have forgotten the constitution.  We are not a land of opportunity anymore; we are Egypt.  Egypt was the darling of the world, strong, powerful and had tons of money.  And then one day, God destroyed much of what they held dear, with plagues and famine.  Why?  Because they believed in their Gods but not the God that mattered.

When we can have billboards all over America stating that its fine to be Atheist, I wonder what's next.  Will we see pagan billboards that say, "Christ doesn't exist."  I pray I never see that but that's where we are heading.  We are heading into the pit of despair and until this country gets on its knees and begins to realize that every drop of money and every bit of power comes through the Lord, we will continue to see the events that have been rocking us.  We don't have to be rocked.  We need to set ourselves back on a foundation where we don't give everyone things for free.  We need to make people go to work and be productive.  We need to help our elderly and our sick and we need to be on our knees praying for the people in this country as well as the people around the world.

China might be the only country that is doing well and guess what, they don't believe in God, they believe in Buddha.  We are so in debt to them that they are buying up everything in America.  Our loans are astronomical because we believe in living by credit.  We have to turn the tide.  We must look upon the Lord to provide and we must begin to live with Him in mind.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't buy a house or a car.  I realize that today to buy those in cash is very difficult.  I'm just saying that be aware that everywhere you go, someone is trying to get you to sign up for credit.  I went to a grocery store yesterday and they wanted me to sign up for their Visa card.  Really?  Even the grocery store knows that if you sign up, they will make money on the interest.  And the pitch was wonderful, nine months no interest.  You know what that means, the card has a 22% interest after that.  See, everyone is trying to get us to buy into having what we want when we want it but can we afford it, that's the real question.

Part of living in faith is asking the Lord to provide and finding out if what you want is what He wants for you.  The more we live apart from Him, the more likely we will screw things up.  The closer we are to Him, the more likely we will put Him first in everything, including our purchases.

After my mom died, I wasn't sure how I would get through a day.  I talked to her every morning and at least every night for my entire adult life and on the weekends I talked to her at least ten times a day.  She was my everything, what was I to do now?  I made a decision that day to make Jesus my everything.  To come before Him and allow Him to be everything to me, my friend, my father, my lover, everything.  I wish I had chosen Him first, from the beginning, but when you have people to fill the space He should occupy, you don't always recognize that you didn't.  So, today, I come before Him in the morning and ask Him for guidance, not just for this blog, but for my entire life.  You can't be one with Him if you don't seek Him.  I don't get everything I want from Him.  As a matter of fact, there have been times, He hasn't given me anything I wanted, but He has given me what I needed to get through the day and for that, I am forever grateful.

We aren't entitled to anything.  We are given it and as we seek Him we begin to change the way we think and feel about the choices He makes for our lives.  We might never get the answer as to why we had to go through a trial or why bad things happen to good people but in the end, we will know He is God and we are His.  So come before the Lord today and ask Him to provide for you, to change your heart and mind and to give Him control over every facet of who you are.  You won't regret it and thank goodness He is so patient. And don't forget to pray for those that you don't know, those in other countries and please get on your knees for it.  We must love everyone and the only way to truly love is to pray and have faith that Christ is near!

Ephesians 1: 15-23  NKJV:

Therefore, I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when he raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

My prayer today:

O, Lord, You are the designer of faith.  You help us to understand how to practice faith and where our faith should come from.  You call us to believe when we can't see and You ask us to come before You daily, not for You, but for us.  You have promised that as we seek Your face, we will see it.  So, today, I am calling women, all over the world to seek Your face.  To come before You daily and make You everything.  I am praying that women will hear Your call and remember that they are only sufficient through You.  We can't drive this bus without our bus driver and that's You.  You are the great conductor, You are building the momentum into something beautiful and we must sit and wait as our Maker builds the crescendo to its most beautiful place.  We are in Your life for no other reason than You chose us.  We must begin to live responsibly, in all things, including our finances and most especially, in what we treasure.  You should be enough.  You should be our treasure and we should work toward knowing You better so that we can live by faith and not by sight.  Help us to die to our flesh and make us new in You daily.  We don't want to keep You in a box. We don't want to live by what our culture teaches us or what our society believes; we want to live by what You teach and by what You provide.  We will not all be millionaires, we might not even have enough to eat or drink, but we do have You.  I pray that for every person that gets on their knees, that You would multiply Your provision today.  We ask only that You give us enough and that we remain in You so that every provision is for Your glory.  We love You Lord and although this world can take our focus from You;  I pray that the women reading this blog will love You all their days.  That they will come before You and seek Your face and that they will teach others that to be faithful is to know You.  We can't have faith when we don't have a relationship with You.  The gloves are off and we realize that we can't and won't be sufficient in our own strength.  You are our portion, by day and by night, we seek You and ask that You will reveal Yourself to us.  Continue to provide Your strength and give us courage to spread Your word.  You are mighty Lord and You are our Maker. We bow down to You today and ask You to be with us every moment of every day.  We know that without You we would be dust, so today, be with us so that we can spread the light to others.  Please protect Your chosen around the world and help those that don't know You yet, see You.  We thank You for our portion today and always.  In Jesus name, AMEN

Until tomorrow...
