As I left for work today, I took particular interest in the sun rising. With every new day, the sun rises in the East and sets in the West. Have you ever taken time to notice the beauty around you? God gave us a picture every day to remember that He exists. Our lives may be going through many changes but some events stay the same, like the sun rising and setting. If you haven't been up before dawn lately, I suggest you get up and look at the beauty as it rises. It will remind you that Christ and His kingdom reign!
For the past few days, we have been studying the promises of God. What He said before Christ came and the promises He provided through Christ. With every promise fulfilled, someone had to take action. Faith is a promise. We can't just talk about it or think about it; we must walk toward it. Christ filled us with the Holy Spirit so that we would know He is near. From there, we must act upon the promise and walk even when the road is dark.
On Sunday our pastor spoke of God and His promises. He reminded us of the Israelite's and the fact that some of them made it to the promise land and others perished. Change happened and with change came faith. No one knew what to expect or who would make it. They just walked from the time the sun rose until it set. For years, they walked and then one day a few saw God's promise fulfilled.
We are like our forefathers. We have no idea what tomorrow will bring. All we can do is walk in faith and ask the Lord to guide us through it. Tonight the sun set but tomorrow it will rise again. Rise up my sisters and believe in Christ, who can do all things!
Jeremiah 29: 11-12 NIV:
For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me and I will listen to you.
I don't know where you are in life. I have not idea what you are facing today. All I know is that we are sisters in Christ. His plans are set for us. Walk in faith my sisters and believe!
My prayer today:
May the God of the Universe, our Lord and Savior bring upon us a faith like no other. Help us to walk toward the light and remind us daily that when we look upon the Sun; You made the Heavens and the Earth. This is Your beauty and we are a small part of it. Lead us on our journey and provide sisters that will pray for each other. May today bring You glory! AMEN
