January 23, 2012

I was talking to a woman today that had faced great challenges in the last 3 months.  She was listening to my friend and I talk about our journey of losing our parents and she began to tell us her story.  She wanted to know why we both seemed so at Peace.  My girlfriend piped up and said, "It's my faith."

Wow!  We were in the middle of a doctor's office and yes you heard me right; she said it.  I was watching a few of the patients in the waiting room and they looked at her like she was crazy.  The other woman began to say, wow, "I wish I had that."  She then told us how she had lost a baby, her sister had been in a horrible accident, and that in the last months her job had suffered.  It sounds like a lot I know.  If you think about it, there are probably hundreds of women with a bucket full of problems.

Why does one woman cope better than another?  The answer is God in Us.  For those that grasp the full armor of God.  He is praying for all of us.  He stands in the gap for all of us and we are very loved.  He feels our pain and knows are weaknesses.   We are one with Christ;.there is power in that my sisters!

John 17: 20-  23 NKJV:

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.  And the glory which You gave Me I have given them that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as you have loved Me.

We are one.  Together with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Cling to Christ today and know that He is all you need.  He will provide the Peace beyond all understanding.  He is the one that loves you and knows exactly where you are.  Take heart, He prayed for us.  Now we must pray for others to know Him.  Make him known as my friend did today.  Stand firm on your faith; there is nothing to be ashamed of.  We are not here to be politically correct; we are here to love His people.

My prayer today:

Lord, hear our prayers and bring hurting women to us.  Lead them to us so that we might tell them the wonder of You.  There are women out there that need to know how much they are loved.  We want to share Your love for them.  We want to pray for them as You prayed for us.  Protect us and give us courage to stand up for You.  Bring them Lord, we are ready!  AMEN
